Privacy Policy

KeynoteToSlides ("the App") is a Mac application that converts Keynote presentations to Google Slides. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

1. Data We Collect

The App collects only the minimum data necessary to function:

• Google Account credentials: When you sign in with Google, we receive an OAuth 2.0 access token and refresh token. These are stored securely in your Mac's Keychain and are used solely to upload files to your Google Drive.
• Presentation files: Your Keynote files are processed locally on your Mac. Converted PPTX files are uploaded directly to your own Google Drive account. We do not receive, store, or transmit copies of your files to any server we operate.
• App preferences: Basic settings (such as whether you've seen the setup screen) are stored locally in your Mac's UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

2. Google User Data

The App uses the following Google OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file — allows the App to upload files to your Google Drive. Access is limited to files created by the App; we cannot read, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.

We do not share your Google account data with any third party. Your OAuth tokens are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

KeynoteToSlides's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
• Your presentation content or any files beyond what is needed for conversion
• Your location, contacts, or any device data

4. Third-Party Services

The App interacts with the following third-party services:

• Google Drive API: Used to upload your converted file to your own Google Drive. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit: Handles subscription purchases. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data stored by the App lives entirely on your device. To remove it:

• Sign out within the App to revoke and delete your Google OAuth tokens.
• Delete the App from your Mac to remove all stored preferences.

You can also revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
